World Oceans Day Programme 2016
La matinée du 8 juin est dédiée aux scolaires, à ce titre, nous accueillerons les éco-délégués du Collège de Paopao, les élèves de SEGPA du collège d’Afareaitu et les enfants de CM2 de Momoa, Tahiti, soit plus de 80 élèves.
Les élèves, répartis par petits groupes effectueront des ateliers toute la matinée de 8h00 à 12h30 : ateliers pédagogiques sur les tortues marines, les récifs coralliens, les mammifères marins, ateliers créations (en matières naturelles et en recyclées), visite sentier sous-marin, visite de la clinique des tortues et du bassin des dauphins.
Portes ouvertes tout public l’après-midi du 8 juin.

The Te mana o te moana non-profit association was founded on September 23rd, 2004. Through its research, conservation and awareness raising activities, Te mana o te moana strives to protect the marine environment of French Polynesia and to educate the public.

te mana o te moana implements programs for the protection and monitoring of French Polynesian marine species (cetaceans, turtles, fish, coral). In accordance with this mission, the association manages the Sea Turtles’ Clinic which is set up on the premises of the InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa.

te mana o te moana promotes environmental awareness for the public, for local populations and especially for children, through school programmes and communication material aimed at a better understanding of the local natural heritage and its fragile balance.

te mana o te moana, in partnership with other associations and universities, is involved in studies and research projects pertaining to the Polynesian marine fauna and flora and island ecosystems.
