World Ocean network at the 10th International Aquarium Congress

Following the IPPC report of October 2018 and on the occasion of the 10th International Aquarium Congress  in Fukushima, Japan, the members of the IAN (International Aquarium Network) signed a statement to “urge decision-makers to address this alarming situation” while they “raise awareness of 700 million people every year in order to help everyone to  understand the challenges facing the planet.”

Aquarium professionals from North America, Asia and Europe present in the IAN Congress signed the statement and it is now being promoted all around the world.

World Ocean Network presented this statement during Oceans Day at the COP24 in Katowice, Poland, and will continue to promote it and gain buy-in from other aquariums and marine education entities.
