World Ocean Network participates in several international conferences along the year to meet and represent our members.

World Ocean Network is accredited as an observer party to United Nations negotiations and processes regarding climate change, biological diversity and sustainable development, promoting the role of civil society, the importance of education and a Blue Society vision. During such events, we also inform World Ocean Network participants on the negotiations results and whereabouts.

World Ocean Network also participates in science education or other ocean-related events, such as Marine Educators conferences, CommOcean or European Maritime Day, and meetings with other science centers and aquariums such as International Aquarium Congress, ECSITE and ASTC conferences.
