World Ocean Network invites you to participate !<\/b><\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

This year you can share the beauty and importance of the ocean, through your photographs!<\/b><\/p>\n

The United Nations<\/a><\/b> together with World Ocean Network<\/a><\/b>, The World Underwater Picture Festival<\/a><\/b>, The Ocean Project<\/a><\/b> and Dive Photo Guide<\/a><\/b> launched the First Annual World Oceans Day Photo Contest<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

This inaugural World Oceans Day Photo Contest<\/a><\/b> allows people from around the world to contribute their favorite photos under five themes:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Underwater seascapes<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Underwater life<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Above water seascapes<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Humans\u2019 positive interaction\/experience with the ocean<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Youth: open category, any image of the ocean \u2013 below or above the surface \u2013 photographed by a young person, age 16 and under<\/p>\n

Winning images will be recognized at the United Nations on Monday, 9 June 2014 during the United Nations event marking World Oceans Day 2014.<\/p>\n

Submit your pictures<\/a> (All entries must be submitted by June 3rd, 2014 at 5pm Eastern Standard Time (EST).<\/p>\n
