Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History –Washington, NW, USA (8 et 9 juin 2011)

8^th june: From 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, the NMNH organizes a roundtable discussion about the last wild places in the ocean. To this occasion, Dr Enric Sala, who leads expeditions to these places, will share his experiences and will explain how the ocean works and how to preserve it.
9^th june: From 6:45 pm to 8:15 pm, will take place a panel discussion focusing on the Gulf region one year after the BP oil spill, whose moderator will be Jane Lubchenco of the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). Moreover, Ted Danson, an environmental activist, actor, and a founding board member of Oceana, with the collaboration of marine scientists, educators and health professionals will discuss the state of fisheries in the Gulf, and the environmental impact on seafood. After the sign of Danson’s book, will take place from 8:15 pm to 10:00 pm a wine & dine reception.

Sealife Conservation – Monterey, California, Usa (june 8^th) with Nausicaá – Boulogne sur Mer, France

Sanctuary Cruises : Observation, recherche en mer et un direct audio avec Nausicaá.Le « Derek M Baylis » , un voilier silencieux dédié à la recherche écologique : « Pacific Polyphonies » - Un « whale watcher » différent animé par une océanographe-biologiste Dorris Welch et le capitaine Mike, ingénieur en transmission. Mike quittera son bateau le mercredi 8 juin pour monter à bord du Derek M. Baylis et sera en charge de la prise de son. C’est lui également qui va développer le software permettant de faire une transmission en audio streaming qui pourra être diffusée en direct à Nausicaa via Internet. David Robinson, capitaine et directeur de l’organisation Sealife Conservation. Il conduira le voilier sur la zone du canyon de Monterey qui est un sanctuaire de dauphins et baleines en cette saison.

El acuario Mazatlán y la Red de Tortugeros del Sur de Sinaloa, se complacen en invitar a el público en general y en especial a los lectores de mazatlaninteractivo.com, a su 1er. Festival de la Tortuga Marina 2011, que se llevará a cabo los dias 8 y 9 de junio.
