World Ocean Network history and records

Since its inception in 1998, the World Ocean Network has expanded its activities, contacts and participation in conferences and international events.
Every three years the Network itself organises the International Meeting “For the Future of the Blue Planet”, which takes place at Nausicaa, in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France. These triennial meetings provide an opportunity to take stock of completed activities and discuss new strategies for mobilising the public on the issue of preserving marine resources.
